In DolarApp, operation limits are designed to ensure a safe environment for you and the financial system. To increase your limit, you must provide documentation that justifies your income.

Pre-established limits in your DolarApp account

You have a monthly limit of $15,000 in digital dollars, renewable on the 1st of each month.

This limit applies to both adding balance and sending transfers.

Example: If you add $7,500 in digital dollars in one month, you can send up to $7,500 in digital dollars until your limit is increased or the month resets.

Documents accepted to increase your limit

The required documentation varies depending on your country of residence and the type of income you receive. Here’s a detailed list:

1. Employed/Salary

  • Colombia

    • Any of these three documents

      • Employment or labor contract or contractor agreement.

        • If the contract is older one (1) year old it must be accompanied by a payroll payment.

      • Last paylsip/payroll payment.

      • Tax return form for the last taxable year.

  • Argentina

    • Any of these three documents

      • Employment or labor contract or contractor agreement.

        • If the contract is older one (1) year old it must be accompanied by a payroll payment.

      • Last paylsip/payroll payment.

      • Tax return form for the last taxable year.

  • Mexico

    • Any of these three documents

      • Employment or labor contract or contractor agreement.

      • Last paylsip/payroll payment stamped by the SAT

      • Tax return form for the last taxable year.

  • Brazil

    • Tax return form for the last taxable year.

2. Retired or Pensioner

Colombia and Mexico: Legalized pension document.

Argentina: Legalized pension document + last 3 pension receipts.

3. Own business income

Colombia and Mexico: Income tax return, Chamber of Commerce certificate (with shareholder book), and financial statements.

Argentina: Income tax return, company documents in your name, and shareholder book.

4. Freelancer

Colombia and Mexico: Recent income tax return + labor contract or proof of payment for services (or last 3 payment receipts).

Argentina: Last 3 payment receipts.

5. Inheritance or Donation

Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico: Legalized document proving the inheritance or donation in your name.

6. Real Estate

Colombia and Mexico: Deed of sale stamped by a public notary.

Argentina: Apostilled deed of sale, stamped by a public notary.

7. Loans

Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico: Valid and legalized documents related to the loan or promissory note.

8. Other

Legal documents relevant to the nature of your income.

9. Virtual Assets (Needs to be accompanied by one of the above documents)

  • Extracts of virtual wallets: Screenshots showing that you own the wallet, indicating wallet address and balances.

  • Exchange Certificates: Proof of transfers generated in the Exchanges, indicating wallet address, dates of transfers, amounts, assets exchanged, counterparties, and reasons for the operation.

  • FIAT conversion supports: Proof of sale of virtual assets for fiat currency in regulated platforms.

Documents NOT accepted

  • Bank statements.

  • Documents related to crypto arbitration.

  • Identity documents without additional proof.

  • Invoice lists without the corresponding invoices.

  • Sales documents without transaction receipts (e.g., vehicle or property transfers).

  • Documents related to future sales.
