How does DolarApp report information to the DIAN?

Updated over a month ago

At DolarApp, we are legally required to report certain transactions:

  • Colombian peso transactions (transfers, top-ups, or card purchases) are reported to the Unidad de Inteligencia y Análisis Financiero.

  • PSE top-ups are also reported to the DIAN, just like your bank does.

What about my digital dollars?

Digital dollars are considered part of your assets, just like any other financial asset. This means you may have tax obligations related to them, depending on your personal situation.

Important note

  • The information above is for reference only.

  • Because tax rules can be complex and depend on your individual case, this does not replace legal, accounting, or tax advice.

Our recommendation

We strongly suggest you consult with a qualified tax professional who can give you guidance tailored to your situation.
