Security and Regulation - Brazil

At DolarApp, we always work to ensure that your Reais and digital dollars and your account remain safe.

📖 Regulation

DolarApp, through its local entity Atlas Brasil Instituição de Pagamento Ltda., is regulated as a Payment Institution (PI) by the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) and fully complies with applicable obligations in the country. Unlike banks, DolarApp does not accept deposits from users; however, we are subject to regulations covering PIX transactions, issuance of electronic money, and both virtual and physical cards. Each client has a Reais (BRL) wallet, through which operations are conducted within the established regulatory framework.

We meet all reporting requirements for BRL transactions and card operations within Brazil. Activities involving digital assets are managed by other entities within the DolarApp group.

Our partners trust us to build a secure and compliant product for users, supported by our SOC 2 certification and independent security audits.

🔐 Account Security

To protect your account and card, we have implemented the most advanced security measures:

  1. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): ensures secure access to your account.

  2. Card freezing: you can easily freeze and unfreeze your card from the app in case of loss or theft.

  3. Tokenization: your payment data is encrypted to keep it always protected.

  4. Key partners: we also work with world-class partners, such as Mastercard, ensuring the quality and reliability of our services.
