Portability and Key Claim
What is the difference between portability and Pix Key claim?
Portability is the process of unlinking one of your keys from one bank or financial institution and linking it to another, in this case DolarApp.
Claiming is the process of claiming a cell phone number or email key that is in someone else's possession.
Check out the step-by-step procedure below:
Key Portability
If your CPF key, e-mail address or cell phone number is already connected to another bank, during the key creation process, when you check it, you will be issued with a key already in use warning.
If you want this key connected to DolarApp, follow these steps:
On the DolarApp screen, you will see a message requesting key portability and the deadline for doing so
Click on “Done” for the portability request
Then access the application of the bank where the key is registered to confirm the portability
You should receive a notification from DolarApp saying that your bank wants to transfer your key
Open DolarApp, click on the key you want to transfer and then on the green “Transfer my Pix Key” button
Go through facial recognition and you're done!
Key Claim
If you see a message when you check your key through DolarApp saying that the e-mail address or cell phone number you entered is already in use by someone else, you can request a key claim by following these steps:
Click on the green “Claim key” button
Click on the key you want to claim
A message will appear on the screen saying “Your claim is being verified”, and a note saying that the user in possession of the key has up to 7 days to accept or decline the request.
Click on the green “Done” button
If the claim is confirmed, you can create the key as normal
